Can I come for a short break?

Please contact us if you would like to stay for a shorter time than one week. We would be open to shorter stays if Casa Falmenta is still available within one month of your proposed booking date.

Are pets welcome?

We accept pets at a small extra charge. Please refer to the ‘How To Book’ section.

What day is changeover day?

Most bookings will run from Saturday to Saturday. A different changeover day may be possible - please enquire. One of the weekly markets in Falmenta is held on a Saturday (the other market day is Thursday) thus enabling you to stock up on weekly provisions locally (and deliciously!).

What about arrival and departure times?

At the moment, we can be flexible with arrival and departure times provided that they are relayed clearly to us with sufficient notice (two days minimum). Should new guests be arriving on your departure day, we would ask you to vacate the house by 11.00.

What deposit is there to pay?

There is a deposit of £100 which can be paid by cheque or online transfer (please email for bank details).

What do I need to reserve the booking?

All bookings will be considered as held until the deposit and completed Booking Form (which we will email) is received within 7 days.

What is your cancellation policy?

Should a situation requiring cancellation arise before the balance has been paid, we will attempt to re-let the property. Should we be successful, then 80% of the deposit will be refunded. If we are unable to re-let the cottage, no refund will be sent. Should the stage have been reached where the balance has been paid, the amount refunded, in accordance with the recommendations of Owners’ Direct, will be as follows:

More than 5 weeks prior to the arrival date: 60%
More than 4 weeks prior to the arrival date: 50%
More than 3 weeks prior to the arrival date: 40%
More than 2 weeks prior to the arrival date: 25%
More than 1 week prior to the arrival date: 0%

How do I pay?

You can pay either by cheque or online transfer (please email for bank details). The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival

What about cleaning?

There is a one-off cleaning fee of Euro 60 payable locally at the end of the stay in cash. The cottage should be left tidy and we reserve the right to charge extra should the house require cleaning over and above normal levels.

What about guests?

No extra overnight guests will be allowed unless previously agreed.

We cannot take responsibility for personal possessions in the property or cars parked in Falmenta’s communal parking area. Please make sure you have read and understood our booking conditions which we will email together with the booking form. Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of the booking conditions.
